This guide addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just before Thotar provides you with a taming Rod for just a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will give you a series of 3 taming rods, each one differs and allows you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Go Here Armored Scorpid.

When you have accomplished the taming Section of The search chain, you must head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot from the Valley of Honor so that you can unlock your companion pet handling abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.
